sorry to send another thought about the cherry magic au so soon, but it’s literally consuming me with Thoughts.

bc Binghe would for real NEVER help his own situation. He’d be shoulder to shoulder with sy in the elevator thinking crazy shit like I want to eat Shen Yuan, consume him so there’s nothing left of him for the world to see. I want him to never exist in the mind of any other person. I want him to never work here again.

And while Binghe is meaning slightly problematic, attic-wife shit, all sy gets out of this is a stomach ulcer from anxiety and the frantic belief that his co-worker he thought was his friend is A CANNIBAL that wants him DEAD AND GONE.

I'm torn between "shen yuan would be confused because binghe doesn't have any thoughts like that about anyone else" or "whenever someone touches shen yuan, binghe has very angry thoughts he hides behind a tight smile, reinforcing the idea that binghe is hiding how dangerous he is"

Shen Yuan avoiding binghe, trying to get a different job and binghe is sobbing like a pathetic wet cat asking what he did wrong.. shen yuans going damn he's a good actor!!!

Three AUdiirns I’ve had pinballing around in my brain

Guardian - stuck in time loop hell to save those he once adventured beside. I wrote about it almost a year ago, here.

Ascended - Astarion ascended, Aldiirn built his empire then took it all for himself.

Modern - union courier committing insurance fraud to help Astarion who can’t afford treatment with his high profile but exploitative modelling gig. Goes smooth until a photo of them together goes all over social media, then they gotta fake date to keep up the ruse. Inspired by @satanicspinosaurus!

Anyway i love how two of these are like high fantasy sorta-villainous AUs and then there’s fedex aldiirn with your parcel

how I think Ancient Greek mythology boys would treat you hcs:

Achilles:

🏺-He’s a bit possessive, not entirely in a ‘red flag’ kind of way but a ‘My partner, I’ll kill you if you touch them” type of way

🏺- He doesn’t like to admit it but he loves to cuddle and hold you close. Especially after he takes a cold shower- he’ll just flop down next to you and shimmy over until he’s on top of you and he’ll just stay there; recharging from your warmth

🏺-he’s definitely more of a physical touch is his lover language type of guy. So holding hands, kisses on the cheeks, touching your hair, caressing you softly. Yeah- that’s what he likes

🏺- He seriously doesn’t like it when other men try to flirt with you..it rubs him the wrong way and it makes his anger bubble up, but he’s definitely not about to go over there and punch the guy in the face……at least..not when you’re around

🏺- He gets anxious when he sees you hurt, like I’m talking about, sprained ankle, flesh wounds, things like that. He grumbles to himself and makes you promise to be more careful.

Patroclus:

🌿- He’s not as possessive as Achilles, but he definitely has his possessive tendencies, like when you’re talking to another man, he’ll casually stroll on up and wrap his arms around you and just watch the guy with narrowed eyes

🌿- he’s a big old puppy dog, he loves hugging you whenever he can. He loves showering you with kisses. It’s just his thing. He especially enjoys holding you in bed and just listening to you heart beat

🌿-However, he loves giving gifts as well. From flowers to home cooked meals. You name it.

🌿- He doesn’t get as jealous as Achilles, but he only locks in when another man or woman is touching you inappropriately without your permission..he hates it.. he’ll try to be polite but stern about it.

🌿- If you ever get hurt, he doesn’t worry that much- because he’s confident he can heal any wound you appear to him with.,though he’d rather prevent than cure…

Perseus:

🛡️- He’s a big old golden retriever boy. He doesn’t get jealous easily because he’s confident that you wouldn’t leave him. He’s only a bit clingy and he almost always insists on carrying you places

🛡️- his love language is words of affirmation, or just loving words in general while he places soft kisses to your hand or palm. The look of devotion in his eyes when you stare back at him. The soft “My love…” or “my beloved..”..it just hits home for him.

🛡️- he loves to have you in his arms whenever he can. It just comes naturally to him, nuzzling your neck as he giggles and cuddles you on the sofa or bed or even the floor. He especially loves to tickle you just to hear your giggles.

🛡️- like mention before. He doesn’t get jealous that easily, instead he’ll probably loudly proclaim that you’re his spouse. And he gets a satisfied look on his face when he sees the scowl on other men or even women.

🛡️- if you get hurt he’ll apologise for not looking after you more carefully..even when you tell him it’s fine.he’s disappointed in himself for letting it happen. Especially under his roof. However anytime you do come to him to get it patched up. He’ll always give a small kiss to the treated wound. Like “boo boos go bye bye”

Orpheus:

🎼- He’s a bit sheepish with touch, but as soon as he warms up to it, he really loves to hold hands..and cuddle. It makes him feel safe and relaxed

🎼- He isn’t totally possessive, but he does make sure the person is at least an arms length away from you.. for their sake.

🎼- he loves to write odes to you. Songs, poems, the works. He’s got an entire book of love letters and an even bigger journal of songs and poems he’ll read to you.

🎼- He’s not really a jealous person but does get a bit moody and pouty, and sometimes he unintentionally stares at the man that’s flirting with you, and it’s so uncomfortable that the man leaves you alone. 🎼- when you get hurt, he’ll most certainly heal you. No doubt about, however he mutters to himself before you call him out on it. He apologises but it’s honestly cute, the way his brow furrows and his eyes are filled with worry. Afterwords he holds you in a soft hug.

okay this popped into my head and demanded to be heard:

modern magic au moshang. shang qinghua is a witch, and in this au witches generally try to summon a familiar in their 20s. these familiars can be any magical creature, from a normal animal with magic abilities to a phoenix to, yes, a demon, whether that demon is more like an animal or more like a person. familiars, however, can deny the binding, since it’s more like an offer than a demand.

shang qinghua manages to summon mobei jun, somehow. he freaks the fuck out because what!! how did he manage to summon a very infamous demon king??? what????

and even more baffling, mobei jun doesn’t decline the binding!! who knows why?? (possibly reincarnation au? mbj knows who sqh is but not the other way around? idk working it out) and instead he just takes over sqh’s apartment. sqh is stressed ™️, as he often is. he goes onto witch forums for advice and everyone else is also baffled except for shen yuan, whose like “lmao same thing happened to me” and sqh is just ????

they bond over inexplicably having demon lord familiars while sqh tries to figure out what the hell is going on

yes i do plan on writing this. very soon. i may or may not be putting everything to the side (except my dragon!mbj fic) in order to work on this one instead.

Wouldn’t it be greaaaat if someone wrote a cherry magic based fanfiction about hualian?!

Xie Lían is a normal employee at the office (secretly employed by Hua Cheng) and everyone kinda knows a bit about Xie Lían(poor guy has lost at least three jobs before this one)

Hua Cheng is his superior aka the guy who employed XL cause he recognized the nameee, he observes Xie Lían at work, but is scared of actually go and talk to him,

So now, Xie Lian’s 30th birthday starts like every other day, except that he realizes he can now listen to everyone else’s thoughts, anyways he thinks he’s going crazyyyy

Hua cheng and Xie Lían happen to be in the same elevator one morning, and as it is too crowded Xie Lían accidentally brushes Hua Cheng s hand and can hear his thoigh

More modern au Rookanis, this time about Lucanis breaking the news that he's dating to his family.

So the Dellamortes are all gathered together in their big ass dining room to eat dinner and Caterina decides to tell Lucanis that she has set him up for a date with what she considers a suitable partner for him because he is 36 and if she is going to get any great grandkids before she's in the grave then clearly she is going to have to be the one putting the legwork in to set him up with someone. [Caterina has already given up on Illario because while he's had a lot of partners over the years, he's clearly not the type to settle down and raise a family.]

Unlike the many other times Lucanis has just nodded and gone along with it to please his grandmother, this time Lucanis declines and when Caterina pushes for a reason why he has to admit that he's seeing someone right now.

You could have heard a pin drop in that room with how silent it got if it weren't for the fact that Illario dropped his wineglass on the floor in shock. Caterina didn't even fuss at him for breaking the good glassware because she's also processing the fact that her grandson has apparently been dating someone and has said nothing about it to her. Unfortunately for Lucanis, her shock doesn't last long as she starts questioning him on how long this has been going on and Lucanis has to guiltily admit that its been about 6 months.

This is about the time Illario reboots and dramatically exclaims "You've been seeing dating someone for six months and you didn't tell me?!" like its the greatest slight he's ever received in his life.

There's a lot of reasons Lucanis didn't tell his family about dating Rook like he was terrified they'd disapprove and scare her off and specifically in the case of Illario, I feel like Illario has had a history of seducing people Lucanis has shown an interest in or when that didn't work sabotaging any sort of budding relationship because that's how Illario deals with his inferiority complex and resentment towards Lucanis because if they fall for him then it proves he's better then Lucanis and if he ruins the relationship then he has one area in life that he excels at over Lucanis and that's romance. Of course Lucanis and Illario have never actually addressed or acknowledged this but it is one of the many issues silently festering between them.

The other reason is Lucanis is very aware of the age gap between himself and Rook because he's in his mid thirties and Rook is somewhere in her early twenties. Lucanis is a lot more self conscious of the optics of their relationship especially when you add in the fact that he's loaded and Rook is driving around in Bianca. Sure Lucanis would love to absolutely drown Rook in gifts and take care of her for the rest of his life but Rook being so young and coming from much simpler means could definitely lead to Illario and Caternia making some unflattering and untrue assumptions about Rook, namely being a gold digger. [Nevermind the fact that Rook might have been a foster kid but she was raised by super wealthy art collector Vorgoth and as such is not nearly as dazzled by the Dellamorte family's wealth as they would assume looking at the way Rook dresses or her car. If anything Rook is biting back some very bitchy comments she could be making about the obscene ostentatiousness of the Dellamorte estate.]

Instead of saying any of that Lucanis settles on the neutral response that he wanted to see how the relationship would go before he introduced them to the family. The rest of the dinner is just Caterina and Illario interrogating Lucanis about his love life and Lucanis desperately trying to dodge the questions because he does not need Caterina or Illario butting into things with Rook because things are going really well right now and Lucanis is terrified that its all going to fall apart soon. Half of rookanis' relationship is them going 'are you sure you still like me' and then the other one saying the most romantic and poetic response that basically boils down to 'of course I do and I won't ever stop'

All this leads to Illario all but immediately getting on instagram and trying to find out who the hell Lucanis is dating. It's not like Lucanis has social media but Illario has meet Neve before and starts there because she's his first suspect for Lucanis' secret sweetheart and finds nothing. He then starts looking at any photo she's been tagged in and manages to locate Lucanis' whole friend group and Illario was aware that Lucanis had actually made some friends for the first time in the last year but he was not expecting them to be so weird. Every new profile Illario finds just makes him despair more for Lucanis' taste because he doesn't know which one Lucanis' is dating but he's judging hard already.

Eventually he finds what looks like Lucanis holding hands with someone in the background of a blurry photo Taash posted of some birds but the picture is so out of focus he can't see any identifying details. Illario ends up chucking his phone at the wall in frustration because he's been at this for hours and can find nothing because for some reason all of Lucanis' friends are ludites that post almost nothing at all or random pictures that give Illario nothing to work with to narrow down which of these freaks and weirdos Lucanis has settled on.

Caterina on the other hand has already hired a private investigator to find out who Lucanis is seeing and everything about them. Caterina has a file on her desk in three days about an inch thick full of information on this 'Rook' that Lucanis has apparently decided is the One.
